US Offers Silicon Valley Mentorship to African Women in Tech

Through a program called TechWomen which is a mentorship and professional exchange initiative by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) under Secretary Clinton’s leadership for emerging women leaders from selected countries in Middle East and Africa. African women in Tech are eligible for a five week mentorship at Silicon Valley, San Francisco, California.

This program is a five-week program that is open to African women who are engaged or rising in professional careers that require significant expertise and knowledge of STEM fields and/or innovative application of these skills and those that are already showing signs of being role models for women and girls, all travel costs will be paid for as well as lodging costs.
