 META tags are special HTML tags that allow the creator or editor of a web page to give information about the document that is not displayed in the browser rendered page. The META data is located in the HEAD of the HTML code and can be viewed by a user by clicking on "View Source" to see the source code. 

To write a perfect website/blog description, then follow this tips:


Meta Description:
Describe your blog in max 150 letters. For example, my blog description is this:

Get the latest breaking Tech news, headlines and blogs reviews, including new product releases, gadgets reviews and tutorials.
So therefore; you also can choose a similar format to describe your blog with relevant words and sentence.


Meta Keywords:
Choose words that describe the topics of your blog, and not just only words, but Keywords that define your blog content. Just choose few but smart keywords that may reflect the overall content of your blog .....and thats the logic!


Meta Author:
Yes, not so important but, its like everyone likes to add his name to his website.. So just write your full name and avoid using nicknames or special symbols.

Now, how to add meta tags to your blogger blog:

1.Sign in to your blogger dashboard>Select the 'Design' link[if you're still using the old style], or select the "template" [ if you're using the new style].
2.Click on the 'Edit html' [tab in old style, on box in new style].
Here is the code you have to add
<meta content='DESCRIPTION HERE' name='description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS HERE' name='keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR NAME HERE' name='author'/>

Explanation of the code:
DESCRIPTION HERE:Write your blog descriptionKEYWORDS:Write the keywords of your blogAUTHOR NAME:Write the author's name(Your name)
3.Click ctrl + f to find the below code, and after getting the below code, just add the above code just after it:
<b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>

NOTE: Many peeps are filling the meta description with keywords. But heck! DON'T DO THAT!! Many search engines (including google) will ban your site from the search engines list if you repeat your keywords too often. So don't repeat any words more than 2-3 times.... PEACE!
